HIGHLIGHTED PROJECT
A catalyst for obtaining industrial chemical products from greenhouse gases
A research team from the UPC, in collaboration with the company B. Braun Surgical, has created a ceramic and biocompatible catalyst that captures greenhouse gases and transforms them into useful chemical products in a more sustainable way and at a lower cost than current technologies.
The technology has successfully passed the pilot phase through joint projects with companies from different sectors.

CLIPE: Creating realistic and interactive virtual characters for VR/AR environments
The Visualisation, Virtual Reality and Graphic Interaction Research Group (ViRVIG) at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech (UPC) participates in the CLIPE project under the MSCA-ITN call, which has developed technologies to provide virtual characters in immersive VR/AR environments with natural behaviour and interaction between virtual characters, making them more human and realistic, with potential applications in industry, video games, training and simulation.

Members of the European Projects Office of CIT UPC attended the HybridNeuro Neural Bridges Final Workshop, held from 9 to 12 December 2025 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, University of Maribor. CIT UPC took part in the event as a partner in the HybridNeuro and EU.FFICIENT European projects.

The UPC will be at ISE 2026 showcasing its latest projects and technologies
The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech (UPC), through the UPC Technology Center (CIT UPC), will feature, for the first time, an exhibition space at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2026, the leading international trade fair for audiovisual technologies, system integration and immersive digital experiences, which will be held from 3 to 6 February 2026 at Fira de Barcelona – Gran Via venue. The University stand will be located in CS100, within the Pavilion of the Government of Catalonia.
