First charging station to return energy from an electric vehicle to the grid

A charging station has been developed to supply energy from an electric vehicle’s battery to the grid. The station incorporates vehicle-to-grid (V2G) and vehicle-to-home (V2H) technology, so that users can sell energy to the grid or supply energy from their vehicles to their homes.
The innovative system was developed as part of the V2M (Vehicle2Microgrid) project, which won the NOVARE I + D + i 2010 award, funded and promoted by Endesa. V2M research and development is led by CITCEA UPC, with the collaboration of IREC.

CDEI UPC has developed an industrial-grade batch washer based on an original concept to meet needs such as:

Measurement and analysis of vibrations in a pump-turbine. Voith Siemens Hydro, Heidenheim (Germany).

The Centre for Industrial Diagnostics and Fluid Dynamics (CDIF UPC) has completed a numerical and experimental study of the dynamic behaviour of pump-turbine vanes submerged in water. The study determined the effects of the added mass of water, the contour, and the rotor on the dynamic response of this type of vane.
